The Research Department in the staff

FORSK has solid experience in managing research projects administratively and has previously worked on projects supported by Interreg Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak.

Additionally, the unit has expertise in qualitative research, which is used in the project to explore the user perspective.

Circular Action Tool AB are experts in life cycle assessments, and in the project, the Swedish company will perform the environmental calculations for the comparative life cycle assessment of single-use and reusable endoscopes.

Circular Action Tools will lead the work to formulate objectives and define the scope of the study, collect data, perform calculations, and ultimately compile results, as well as analyze and interpret them.

The Endoscopy Unit is a partner in the project and serves as a regional clinic responsible for patients from the Västerbotten, Norrbotten, Västernorrland, and Jämtland/Härjedalen regions.

The unit specializes in performing endoscopies and conducts approximately 7,500 endoscopies annually. The department contributes both with clinical testing, fresh perspectives on the introduction of new procedures, and significant influence and impact on the long-term implementation of more sustainable solutions, which the department has a strong interest in and which the project can benefit from and learn from.
